The National Biobank Laboratory offers a vast array of biochemical and immunological assays, as well as DNA purification and genetic analysis
Everything is handled automatically by 8 high-throughput Hamilton STAR robots.
The most popular assays include:
- DNA extraction from whole blood and buffy coat, up to 1200 samples per day
- DNA concentration determination and normalization
- Biomarker analysis for up to 6000 samples per day such as:
- Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)
- Total cholesterol
- HDL cholesterol
- LDL cholesterol
- Triglycerides
- High sensitivity CRP
- Creatinine
- Chloride
- Potassium
- Sodium
In addition, our robots also perform general sample handling.
The Danish National Biobank utilises highly automated sample handling.
