The Coordinating Centre
The Centre serves as liaison and advisor to researchers and collaborators with the biobank, applying specialized knowledge in reception, storage and retrieval of biological samples for research
The centre occupies the administrative space connecting the biobank physical storage, the register and the laboratory as well as research partners within the SSI as well as externally. The centre bridges these parts and operates as a central liaison, establishing contact and advising the research and collaborative process.
Working closely with researchers and biostatisticians at the SSI Department of Epidemiology Research, it draws on their knowledge and expertise in database handling, SNP- and sequence data analysis, to create a strong research environment and knowledgeable advisory centre.
The Coordinating Centre is also responsible for day-to-day operations of the biobank and updates to the register.
The Coordinating Centre bridges the different parts of The Danish National Biobank along with external collaborators, most closely and literally to our SSI neighbours at the Department of Epidemiology.
